Mastery Classes

Our Mastery classes are open to the public now. To anyone who owns a Bernina is welcome to come take this. Your machine must be older than three years to take our Mastery class. Stop by for more information!

Septembers Mastery Class for the rest of this month will be on Friday the 18th 9am-1pm and Saturday the 19th 9am-3pm. Reminder- You must sign up to reserve your spot as they are filling up fast. Another e-mail will be sent out about projects and class scheduling

Sewing Classes

We do offer beginning sewing classes. These classes are for ages 8 and up. There is four levels to these classes. For more information for these classes stop by or give us a call. To sign up for sewing classes please go down to parks and rec here in Moses Lake.

Quilting classes- For adults we offer three levels of quilting classes. You must know how to sew to take anyone of them.

Children’s quilting class- Must know how to sew. For ages 8 and up.

Bernina E16 and Q24

Recently we have added the Q24 and the E16 to the stores machine inventory. Both machine are in the store and set up. The Q24 is fully setup to show and demo on. The E16 just came in on Monday and is put together and will be running coming this next week!

What’s Been Happening

This was one busy summer for all of us here in the store! We went to BU (Bernina University) in phoenix, AZ. Which was always fun to attend and to learn new things on the Bernina machines! Casey will be showing some of these new ideas in her Mastery Classes!

Sewing Classes

Beginning levels of sewing classes are quickly filling up. If you are interested in our beginning levels of sewing you need to check with Parks and Rec to reserve your spot. There are three levels. You Must take level one first. Level one you construct an apron, Level two you construct a bathrobe and Level three you construct a pair of P.J.’s.

Beginning quilt class- We have recently added two levels of quilting class. To sign up for this class you will need to go down to Parks and Rec.

Check out parks and rec summer book we have some fun classes coming up all summer long for ages 8 and up.

Bernina class

Do you own a Bernina and need a refresher? Sign up for our mastery class. They are FREE to owners of Bernina’s with machines that are one year old or newer. We do regular use and go over the embroidery use as well. Classes are the second and third Fridays and Saturdays of every month. Please call to reserve your spot in the class.

Oiling the 7 Series

Question: How often does the 7 Series need to be oiled?

Answer: We recommend the cleaning and lubrication process be performed at the beginning of each sewing day. Fill the red oiling port beneath the stitch plate, then fill both oil depots on the hook so that the felts are damp but not running over. Use Velocite No. 6, which comes in the oiling pen with the machine. Specific steps are listed under Cleaning in the machine’s Instruction Manual.
